Uzbekistan's President Shavkat Mirziyoyev announced that 8 billion dollars will be required to develop the energy infrastructure over the next 10 years. He criticized the existing losses in the electricity and gas networks, noting that in the first half of the year, electricity losses amounted to 17.2 percent. It was also reported that this figure in the gas network reached 7.6 percent. The head of state emphasized the need to address problems in these sectors and attract investments.
