Updates Easing Document Obligations for Drivers

According to a new decision by the government of Uzbekistan, drivers can now avoid the obligation to carry a passport or ID. Digital versions of documents can be accepted by interior ministry officials through the MyGov application. However, when the State Traffic Safety Inspectorate "O‘zkomnazorat" made a statement regarding this news, it redirected public attention back to the old regulations. It seems that the Ministry of Internal Affairs is rejecting advanced foreign practices rather than creating conveniences for drivers.
