In the first half of 2026, the volume of gas extraction in Uzbekistan amounted to 18.3 billion cubic meters, which is a decrease of 3.6 billion cubic meters or 16.4% compared to the same period in 2025. Compared to the same period in 2024, this indicator decreased by 4.2 billion cubic meters or 18.6%. Specifically, in June, the volume of gas extraction decreased to 2.5 billion cubic meters, marking the lowest figure recorded this year. This figure shows a 25% decrease compared to the same period last year. Such a sharp decrease in gas extraction volume is economically significant.
