A widespread power outage occurred across Georgia on the night of July 24. As a result, several cities in the country were left without electricity. The unrecognized Abkhazia authorities pointed to a systemic failure at the Enguri Hydropower Plant as the cause of the blackout in the entire region. According to other reports, during the outage, both the population and facilities were left without electric power. Currently, the energy supply in the country is being restored.
