An Islamic Finance Council Established Under the Central Bank

An Islamic Finance Council has been established under the Central Bank of Uzbekistan. The council will develop Islamic finance standard projects taking into account international standards and local conditions. Additionally, the council will provide conclusions and recommendations to the Central Bank regarding the regulation and supervision of Islamic finance activities. It will also participate in the preparation of draft regulatory legal documents. This council is expected to contribute to the development of the Islamic finance system in the country.
