Compensation of nearly 684 million soums for fire at Ohangaron landfill assigned to “Maxsustrans”.

The amount of harmful substances released into the atmosphere due to the fire at the Ohangaron landfill exceeded the norm by up to 13 times. For this reason, an additional compensation payment of 683 million 870 thousand soums was calculated for the state unitary enterprise “MAXSUSTRANS-ISHB”. This decision was made in relation to cases that affect air pollution and public health. The government of Uzbekistan aims to further investigate this situation and take measures to mitigate the damage.
