The Fiscal Analysis Institute of the Ministry of Finance of Uzbekistan has proposed new tax policies. This was reported by Kun.uz correspondent. The institute is advocating for taxing interest income from bank deposits and reducing corporate income tax to impose VAT on banks' commission revenue. Additionally, there are plans to increase excise taxes on alcohol and introduce carbon taxes for large corporations. Another significant proposal for Uzbekistan is to gradually revert personal income tax to a progressive system. These proposals are being studied to ensure economic stability.
