Foreign citizens coming to Uzbekistan for education are led by citizens of Turkmenistan

From January to June 2026, over 21,000 foreign citizens came to Uzbekistan for educational purposes. During this period, citizens of Turkmenistan accounted for the largest share, surpassing 9,200. These figures indicate an increasing interest of foreign students in the education system of Uzbekistan. The high number of foreign citizens arriving in Uzbekistan is linked to the quality educational opportunities provided by our educational institutions. Additionally, this can strengthen the cooperation in the field of education between Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan.
