Uzbekistan President Shavkat Mirziyoyev announced that meat prices have risen by 6-8 percent between April and June. Despite the costs of importing meat by air being covered, there was little initiative in many regions regarding meat imports. The President proposed to extend this exemption until December 31 and set the task of importing 250,000 head of livestock from abroad by the end of the year. Additionally, it was determined that an extra 50 million dollars would be allocated to increase meat production.
