New Rules for SMS Advertisements to be Implemented

Starting from November 1, 2026, it will be prohibited to send SMS offers for goods and services to an individual's phone number without their written or electronic consent. Moreover, advertising calls and SMS messages will be restricted from 6:00 PM to 9:00 AM. Mobile operators will be required to block advertising SMS sent by themselves upon subscriber requests. These changes are being implemented to protect consumers and improve the quality of advertisements. The new rules will also prevent advertisements from being sent to customers without their consent.
