Dilshod Sultonov Calls for Quick Abolition of 1% Tax Cashback

Deputy Director of the Institute of Fiscal Analyses Dilshod Sultonov emphasized the need for the quick abolition of the 1% tax cashback. In an interview with Kun.uz, he stated, "The sooner the 1% tax cashback is abolished, the better. 80% of the money is going to organizations that offer checks [to clients]." He also mentioned that it makes "no sense" to allocate $150 million from the budget each year for the remaining 20%. These statements raise important issues regarding economic analysis and tax policy.
