German Federal Intelligence Service to Acquire New Powers

The German Federal Intelligence Service - BND is planning to acquire new powers that will enable it to take active measures against threats coming from abroad. As part of these reforms, the intelligence service will be able to disrupt foreign IT infrastructures and will have the capability to manipulate data through cyber means. Additionally, when necessary for national defense, the BND is expected to have the right to conduct diversionary operations abroad. These updates aim to further strengthen Germany's security.
