According to Romanian officials, after measures to alter the river flow and artificially raise the water level around the nuclear power plant, the operational reactor will remain functional for at least another nine days. Consequently, an energy emergency situation has been declared in Romania throughout August. This situation poses a threat to the country's energy security.
