Proposal to Abolish Fines for Illegally Constructed Housing Until 2018

The Ministry of Territorial Development and Construction of the Republic of Uzbekistan has proposed to abolish fines for illegally constructed housing until 2018. Furthermore, it is envisaged that in cases where an application for the registration of property rights is not submitted within the stipulated time, a warning will be issued instead of a fine for the first time. This proposal is widely discussed among the public. The aim is to establish a more active interaction between the state, citizens, and the construction sector. Currently, the issue of illegal constructions remains urgent in our country.
