Attempts to smuggle gold bars and currency using children have been uncovered

The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Uzbekistan reported that one citizen attempted to secretly smuggle gold worth 450 million soums, while another attempted to smuggle 40,000 US dollars. During these illegal activities, attempts to smuggle gold and currency through children were uncovered. In particular, the criminals exploited children to achieve their goals. Investigations are ongoing, and measures against the criminals may be taken. This issue is being addressed in accordance with new measures proposed to combat illegal currency spending, which is leading to a downturn in the country.
